K and I went back to the zoo today.  We had a GREAT trip.  The temp was much cooler than our last visit, and the threat of rain kept the crowd down a bit.  We managed the escape the heat AND the rain!  And since it wasn’t a scorching hot day, the animals seemed more active too.  K especially liked the bears, turtles, and fish.  The seals were a big hit again, and if you look closely you’ll be able to see his excited faces in the glare from the glass.

The aquarium will be closed for renovation soon, so we were glad we got to see the fishies one last time.  K was particularly glad to see this fish again, as it has been his favorite two times in a row.  No really.  Is there an uglier fish out there?  They just stared at each other for a while making these faces…
