L and N are 6 months old! (4.5 months adjusted)
Weight – 16 lb 13 oz (50% for his birth date now! Above average for his due date!)
Food – Six 5 oz bottles per day. (Now drinking normal 20 calorie formula)
Accomplishments – MORE ALERT TIME! More smiles. Stretching arms up higher. Responding to certain sounds (will turn his head toward the crinkly toys, startles to loud sounds, etc). He gets his hands to his mouth more often.
Goals – Continuing to work on neck and core strength.
Likes – Cuddles. Light. Holding fingers. Chewing/sucking on anything except a paci, including his own hand/fingers.
Other – Wearing 6-9 or 9 month clothes and size 3 diapers. Sleeping habits are still roughly 11:00-5:30 or so.
Weight – 12 lb 3 oz (5% for his DUE date…still hovering well below the chart for his birth date)
Food – oh my…still working hard on this one. We attempt at least Six 4 oz bottles in a day, but not all of it stays down. (Still drinking the higher calorie preemie formula)
Accomplishments – More smiles. Stretching arms up higher. Responding to certain sounds (will turn his head toward the crinkly toys, startles to loud sounds, etc).
Goals – Continuing to work on neck and core strength. We’re working hard on getting him to lay on the left side of his head more.
Likes – Cuddles. Light. Having his face gently rubbed.
Other – Wearing 3-6 or 6 month clothes and size 2 diapers. He isn’t sleeping as well, but I’m blaming that on a confused appetite. It’s rare that he eats well all day and goes to bed satisfied. Hopefully we’ll get this figured out soon!
Moments I don’t want to forget:
- Our ER visit and seizure scare with Nolan
- So many smiles
- Discovering Nolan’s dimple
- The return of 3 am cuddle time
- Watching Landon slowly perk up more
- Hearing those first throaty sounds with hopes that coos are on their way
- Hearing their developmental specialist say that it seems like each week they are doing something new
And now…their 6 month photo shoot!
Keeping up….Thanks for sharing your boys. ❤
